Funeral for Ella Clemente
Donation protected
I am writing this on behalf of Ella's family: Mother Rebecca, Father Vicente, Husband Ahmed,
Brother Bobby, Sisters Nikka, and Cynthia and her sweet 11 year old daughter Fairuz (Fay).
Ella grew up in Hayward, CA on Barcelona Ave. not too far from where she later attended Mount Eden High School. Later graduating in 1995.
She was the proudest Monarch of them all. Ella LOVED to dance, and was involved in countless school performances (many with Universal Movements) with friends and likeminded classmates. She was a "ray of sunshine" that always had a "positive attitude". I've heard countless stories this week of her cheering others up when they were down, her adventurous nature, outgoing personality, and wild crazy sense of humor...she would want to be remembered that way. I am sure of that.
Ella was diagnosed with breast cancer in early 2012. Her daughter Fairuz (we all lovingly call her Fay) was 8 years old at the time (now 11). Since then she's been through a long and difficult battle traveling to UCSF from Pittsburg for doctor visits, diagnostics tests, scans, chemotherapy, surgeries, and radiation. During her fight (and she fought long and hard) she managed to make a beautiful home for her husband Ahmed and Fay. Her struggle was not in vain. Before she passed she was in the midst of getting genetic counseling so her family can be informed and prepared for their futures. She bore this burden for her loved ones. Ella wanted to leave behind a legacy filled with love, creativity, music, dance, and any artistic endeavor that would allow her beautiful soul to shine. Her positivity and fearlessness transcends through this life and her spirit will never leave the army of family and friends that she loved so dearly, even up until her very last days.
We are hoping to help cover some of the costs of the funeral, burial, numerous medical bills, as well as help with getting Fay back into school full time and Ahmed with numerous costs he has had to endure while helping Ella through this very difficult time.
Words cannot express the Clemente family's gratitude for everyone's words of kindness, sharing of their fond memories in the form of stories for Fay, and the outpouring of support in many different forms.
Lovingly,
Bridget Gilmore
