Legal Defense Fund

This fund is being established to pay the legal fees for the case against my 17 year old son, who was arrested and detained by Southaven Police in DeSoto County, Mississippi.

Detective Portia Taylor told me my son called a suicide hotline threatening to cause violence at his school.

The officers got a call from an individual with a grudge against my son who knew the call would send police to our home.

My husband and I did not comply with officers and questioned their right to arrest our son without any proof that he made this threat.

Police handcuffed my son, put him in a police car, and held him in detention three days.

I've hired lawyers and will pursue justice for my child.

He's been bullied and despite being on the Autism Spectrum, No crisis intervention team came to our home.
