Kristi Kang's Healing Helpers
Donation protected
Hello friends, family, and loved ones!
Many wonderful people have asked us how they can help as we wade through the challenges of physical healing. People have offered help in such generous ways, and we are so incredibly appreciative.
For those of you who don't know, I was diagnosed with systemic scleroderma in 2010 and autonomic involvement began in 2014. This has affected many body systems, including the cardiac and nervous systems, which has led to a drastic change in lifestyle. Shifting from teaching a strong yoga practice to operating primarily from a wheelchair has affected many aspects of our lives. While some medical supplies have been amazingly provided for us, there are still many tools we have delayed purchasing because of their cost.
We have been extremely blessed to received coverage for monthly IVIG infusions, which have helped tremendously. Our hope and goal is that I will continue to gain strength and functionality day after day!
We are not asking for charity or special treatment. We simply ask that if you have been wanting to offer some help our way and haven't known how to help, a small donation would be greatly appreciated.
All donations will assist with medical supplies such as a wheelchair ramp for our front door, a shower seat, a balance-assist shower handle, electric wheelchair (so I can help "walk" the dogs), elevated bedframe to help with my heart (prescribed by the doc, but unfortunately not covered by insurance), a scale (as my infusion dosage is determined by my weight), and other tools that will improve quality of life and help me to gain more independence through my recovery process. Any additional funds will go directly to help cover the copay of my monthly infusions.
We ask that you give only if you feel compelled to. My wonderful husband Joey and I trust that our needs will always be met, whether through the help of our loved ones or through other miraculous means. We have faith that we are consistently provided for, even when it sometimes seems otherwise. We thank you for any and all assistance you have, are, or will send our way.
My hope is that I am able to touch your lives as you have so deeply touched mine. Thank you for all of the loving support.
With love,
Kristi, Joey, and greyhounds
