This is my good friend AJ. He is 31, and we grew up together. We have been friends well over 25 years. Back in 2020 when COVID-19 was beginning to make it’s rounds in the US, he was feeling ill, so he decided to get tested. As it turned out, AJ did not have COVID. What he did have was much worse. AJ was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He was scheduled for surgery immediately to have it removed. The operation went well, and AJ started rehabilitation. Since then, AJ has been on a roller coaster. Due to COVID, the restaurant where he worked for years as a cook permanently closed. He has fought the government for unemployment and disability being rejected and forced to appeal. AJ has had multiple scans since the initial operation. Some good and some not so good. Most recently, he received the terrible news that the tumor is back and growing. AJ may need another surgery. Throughout everything, AJ has kept an inspiring, upbeat attitude. He is truly battling like a Viking. He did not ask me to write this. In fact, I believe once I ask his permission to set this up, I may have to do some persuading. However, AJ is a good man, and good people deserve good things. This is not an act of pity but of compassion. Please help in whatever way you can. God bless.
