Help family Rebuild after house fire
Donation protected
My sister Amy and her children are among the seven adults and 13 children who tragically lost everything in a devastating house fire early this morning, December 2, in East Baton Rouge Parish.
The fire broke out around 4:30 a.m. completely destroying the home and leaving everyone displaced. Thankfully, no one was physically injured, but heartbreakingly, their family dog did not survive the flames. Firefighters worked tirelessly, calling in a second alarm to control the blaze. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
My sister and her children are now homeless with nothing but the clothes on their backs. While they are deeply grateful to be alive, this is far from the Christmas they had hoped for. They urgently need to find housing, as they have no place to stay. They do have funds for either a deposit or rent—but not both—which makes their situation especially critical.
If anyone can help in any way to get them into safe and stable housing, it would mean the world to them. This family is in dire need of assistance as they navigate this unimaginable hardship.
