Helping a sister in need

Allow me to introduce my sister, Beatrice (Bea) Goulart. She has been married for 35 years and is a mother of three daughters: Vanessa, Katalina, and Stephanie. Unfortunately, Stephanie passed away 15 years ago. Bea also has two grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Apart from cherishing her family, she enjoys entertaining, baking, and cooking. Among my favorites are her cherry cheesecake, garlic and butter shrimp, and lemon cookies. Bea is a nurturing and caring individual who is always ready to assist her family and friends. She opens her home to you, listens attentively, and offers valuable advice when needed.

In recent years, she has conquered several medical challenges. Five years ago, she faced kidney cancer, which she successfully defeated through surgery, emerging stronger than before.

During her routine 6 month check-up six weeks ago, her oncology team found that the cancer had returned. This time, it had affected her remaining kidney and pancreas. The medical team has advised the removal of her pancreas, spleen, gallbladder and a section of her small intestine.

Next week, Bea will undergo a life-changing procedure. How will this impact her and her husband? Doctors anticipate a recovery period of up to a year, requiring her to take a leave of absence from work. She will require monthly immunotherapy shots and may have to take chemotherapy medication. Furthermore, she will undergo a second surgery to eliminate the remaining tumors in her kidneys.

As the younger brother, I kindly ask for your prayers for a quick recovery. Additionally, I humbly request financial assistance for her and her husband to help cover any unexpected expenses during this challenging time.
