Landyn Ferris and his family

I'm setting this up on behalf of my sons classmate and friend, Landyn, who lost his life suddenly at the sweet age of just 16. Just turned 16 actually. He was a wonderful happy go lucky boy who loved flowers, music, and his mom. She is devastated. No parent should out live their child. With such a young death comes costs that are usually unexpected and when you are already grieving and lost it's the last thing we think about.

The unexpected death of a child is an unimaginable loss that no parent should ever have to endure. Brenda, and her other 2 children are experiencing a family’s worst nightmare as they grieve the unexpected and tragic loss of Landyn. On May 14th, 2024, their day started off preparing for school, unaware that it would be their last moments together. Later that afternoon Brenda received the worst phone call of her life from the school, her son was found unresponsive and not breathing at his school. Landyn was a son, a brother, a nephew, a classmate. He was filled to the brim with goodness, light, kindness, singing songs and picking flowers. He often brought bouquets of dandelions to his mother, made classmates smile while he sang his favourite songs, and gave those around him the gift of his kind and gentle presence on this earth. This Gofundme account has been set up by parents of Landyn’s peers, in hopes of assisting Landyn’s family with funeral costs, a headstone and other expenses that will be used to create a Legacy for Landyn.
