The Bonalbo Working Dog Statue
Donation protected
Cattle dog trials in Australia started in Bonalbo, New South Wales, at the 1950 Show. The trials are now part of rural culture and are held all over Australia.
A bronze statue of a working dog - to represent all working dogs - is planned for a park in Bonalbo.
Statues are expensive and a major fundraising campaign is ongoing to raise the necessary funds. The statue will highlight Bonalbo's place in the history books as the birthplace of the working dog.
So if you can help us out with a few $, we'd really appreciate it. The Show Society, who are raising the funds for the statue, is made up of volunteers who work incredibly hard.
We've all enjoyed watching the dog trials at a show, whether it be a country show, the Royal Easter Show in Sydney or the EKKA.
