Help me beat Breast Cancer!

My name is Michelle Crouse . Unfortunately, on July 2nd my life changed in an instant.  I went to my OB/GYN for a routine visit in June.  My doctor felt a lump and told me to get a mammogram to be safe.  Of course, I thought nothing of it until afterwards they wanted to do an ultra sound on the lump then the doctor came into the room.  I knew something was wrong.  My biopsy a few days later confirmed my worst fears.  I have Breast Cancer. Stage 2. Further results have come back that confirm I am at a very high risk of getting cancer again within the next 3 to 5 years.  So, I will be doing chemotherapy.  I have surgery August 19th to have a portacath inserted into my chest then my first day of chemo is August 21st. My chemo will consist of 4 cycles of Adriamycin & Cytoxan every two weeks for 8 weeks. Then I will change to weekly doing Taxol for 12 weeks, followed by 6 weeks of radiation daily Mon – Fri.  This will be followed by 5-10 years of taking an anti-estrogen pill since my cancer was estrogen positive 94%. A cancer diagnosis itself is one of the most difficult burdens to bear; unfortunately, the financial burden is almost as much to bear as well. It is extremely difficult for me to ask for help and it is humbling. Any funds raised here will help to cover a long list of expenses including: High insurance deductible / co-insurance/ out-of-pocket medical expenses not covered by my insurance, medications, basic living expenses to sustain myself during surgery/recovery and  chemo/radiation treatments, as I will need to take so much time off from work, and monthly medical premiums . I am extremely grateful so far for the unwavering support of our family and our friends through this difficult journey. I know that my story is not the first, and sadly, not the last of its kind.
