Brent Morrison Memorial

“Chicken Wing” was his well deserved nickname! Brent Morrison, whose life was transformed by running, lost his life on July 11, 2014. His passing was the most tragic, he was doing what he loves, running, when he was unfortunately at the wrong place at the wrong time and slain by a young man, shot to death. Brent’s death has been a tragedy for his wife, family, friends, community and his running family. Brent earned his nickname because when he ran he looked like a chicken and he was fast, running a 5K in under 25 minutes!

Initially, this Go Fund Me page was set up to support Brent’s wife, Dianne Morrison, with his services. Dianne wishes to continue “Living the Dream” for Brent by developing a memorial fund in Brent’s name to help match funds for trails in Fort Smith, Arkansas, as well as a scholarship for students in Hot Springs; the two communities where the couple shared their lives.

Dianne said, “Brent always wanted to get in his run and help other runners.” Any donation will help Dianne continue Brent’s dream of running and helping others. With the greatest amount of gratitude, Dianne appreciates your support.
