Fight against cancer!
Conventional medicine has failed and now the doctor tells us there is nothing else he can do, he has done everything that he knew to do, based on approved treatments. We have no hope.
My husband Enrique Gil of 30 years, father of 5 children with 9 grandchildren has been battling cancer since 2011. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer and in 2012 his prostate was removed. At the time we found out that the cancer had spread into the lymph nodes and that it was at stage 3. Cancer stages go up to 4.
After surgery his cancer went into remission until 2015. At that time we discovered that the cancer had come back and that the metastasis was on his spinal cord, in two different places.
At that point he started an intravenous chemo treatment, which nearly killed him. He lost his hair, his taste buds, sensations on finger tips and toes and about 50 pounds. After 5 months onTexotere his PSA points started to raise which was an indication that the chemo was not
working. The doctor then prescribed a different chemo, Jevtana, which after 3 months didn’t prove to be any better. It wasn't working either.
At that point they switched him to a hormonal capsule treatment called Xtandi. Again, it worked for 5 months and then it stopped working; it was no longer effective. He is then switched, one more time, to a different brand, this one called Xytiga. After 3 months, tests showed that the medication was not working either.
At this point is when the doctor tells us there is nothing else
in the market that he can give him. The only suggestion was for my husband to sign up into a research lab, but there is no guarantee.
Unfortunately the FDA refuses to put any money into other types of treatments that have proven to help but that are not as lucrative; and in order to receive these type of treatments one must go over seas. Of course these treatments are not covered by insurance.
This is where we need your help. There is such a clinic in Tijuana, Mexico and the only hope we now have is to try a non-conventional treatment to help my husband. The clinic has been in existence for over 50 years and have helped many cancer patients, including stage 4 patients.
The cost of the treatment is$20,000 and we are asking for donations to help us meet this total. We have a month to raise the total amount. Through his sickness there have been many other out of packets expenses that we have had to incurred in order for him to have a better quality of life. The initial treatment is for two weeks at this clinic and the length of the treatment is for two years.
As his wife, I cannot express in words the desperation and impotence that I feel at a time like this. To see a loved one been told there is no hope and basically just go home and die is heart breaking. If conventional medicine has failed, we need to try other means and not sit still without a fight.
Please help us in our fight for life. Hopefully you will want to be part of this gift of life for my husband Enrique!May the Lord bless your efforts as you help us reach this goal.
