Emily Tintrup Dealy

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the news that Emily Tintrup Dealy passed away on July 23, 2023, while on a Sunday morning drive with her husband, Michael Dealy, not far from their home in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Their vehicle was struck head-on by an oncoming vehicle that veered into their lane.

Emily, the couple's unborn son and their beloved dog, Gracie, did not survive the automobile accident.

Emily is, and will forever be, the most selfless, caring and loving person. She touched an uncountable number of lives with her light and grace throughout her entire lifetime. She dedicated much of her life helping others as an educator of young children, a yoga instructor, and personal chef. Her passion to continue exploring the World around her allowed her to connect deeply with her beautiful family, a vast number of friends and local communities wherever she spent time. Especially in Steamboat Springs.

Emily was Preschool Director at Steamboat Montessori Elementary and Preschool in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. She loved her job and she loved all of the children that she was able to impact through her lifetime.

Emily's dream was to one day build an outdoor nature school for children where we could teach and nurture the vital importance of all the beautiful things in this world that she valued so much.

We are establishing this memorial fund in Emily's honor to raise funds that will be directed toward that goal as well as helping to fund the Steamboat Montessori school that she loved so much.

We thank you for your kindness, love and respect during this unfathomably difficult time and we extend our deepest condolences to Emily’s husband, Michael Dealy, and the Tintrup Dealy families. Please keep the Tintrup and Dealy families in your thoughts and prayers.

Michael is currently in the process of setting up a CO Non-profit Organization which will be able to receive tax-deductible charitable donations to this memorial fund and will share the information for that as soon as possible
