Jayden’s road to recovery.

On Thursday 10-7-21 Jayden’s mother Karen got a call no parent should ever get. “ I think Jayden has been in an accident.” Her biggest fear developed in front of her eyes as her 17 year old son sat pinned in his vehicle for over 45 minutes before the local fire department could free him from the wreckage. Jayden was Unresponsive and pinned and all Karen could do was sit helplessly in an adjacent field and wait. The wait for a parent when your child is injured is agonizing- every minute that past felt like a year. Finally,Jayden was successful removed from his vehicle. He currently is in ICU and has a long hard road to recovery. He has already endured a grueling surgery to fix a broken leg, severely injured foot, and hip repair. He has some internal organ damage that is being closely watched and a hairline fracture in his pelvis. There is the possibility for future surgeries, but as of now it is a waiting game, The next few months for Jayden and his family are going to be long and difficult.
