Hello dear people of the world - I'm Lize Krüger from the UK.

I am trying to help my friend Fida and her family to get out of Gaza as soon as possible. Time is of the essence.

There is an opportunity now to take the entire family out of Gaza to Egypt via the Rafah crossing. It is uncertain how long we will have this opportunity, making it essential to raise the necessary funds as quickly as possible. The longer it takes, the more vulnerable they are. No one knows how long the bombing of Gaza will continue. It will continue and at what ongoing cost to human life. For the future of her family, your help is necessary. I am deeply concerned about the entire family,

The funds you contribute will accomplish the following:

Cover the expensive costs of safe passage into Egypt. The vast majority of funds will be utilized for this.

Set up the family with a temporary place to stay in Egypt, while it is determined what the best path forward for them is.

Cover some of their initial living costs while in Egypt. We hope to provide enough for at least a couple of months. They need time and space to breathe after being in Gaza during this genocide.

This is Fida’s story:

And in the midst of this devastation, stands my family – a diverse group of 23 people, each with their own stories and hopes for the future. My father, Omar, 73, is a man of wisdom and strength, who has guided us through many of life's storms. My mother Badia, 68, was the heart of our family, and her resilience and care held us together through the most difficult times. My siblings and their children now look to me for guidance and hope as we face our most difficult challenge yet.

One particularly painful consequence of the ongoing war has been the disruption of education for the children in our family. Schools became inaccessible, and the routine structure of learning and development was broken, leaving their future uncertain. The opportunity to move to Egypt represents more than just security; It is an opportunity for these young minds to return to their studies, grow and explore their potential in a stable environment, something that has been painfully out of reach here.

With tensions escalating and the threat of further escalations in Rafah looming, I am desperate to relocate my family to safety before it’s too late.
