It is with a heavy heart that I set this page up.
Saturday morning our beloved Colby Mendonca was unexpectedly called home to God. Colby was an amazing father, son, brother, friend, and US veteran who served two years in Afghanistan. A true hero with so much love, kindness, and compassion in his heart. He leaves behind a three year old daughter Natalia, parents- Elena and Carlos, a younger sister- Kayla, his grandparents, tons of family, and countless friends.
Only July 11th, in a senseless act of violence, Colby's life was taken- not in the line of duty- but while being attacked and stabbed in Providence, RI. Colby sacrificed his own life. He always has been, and always will be the true definition of a hero.
The Mendonca family is broken and trying to find a way to deal with this tragedy. They would never ask for help, so I am asking for them. If you were lucky enough to have known Colby, the family, or even if you just want to help, any donations small or large will help during this difficult time. Please keep him and the family in your prayers.
All donations will go straight to Colby's parents to assist with funeral expenses.
