♡Need a Home♡Update: halfway to goal!♡

Hello, my friends-

I'm reaching out in desperate times, most desperate of my life thus far- that says a lot if you might happen to know even a little about my journey thus far-

This chapter, however, has been particularly egregious since 2020, as have been all the subsequent dominoes fallen since the pandemic. 

That year, within less than a month, we lost both my Mother in law and my own Mother, for whom I was caring and living with, along with my fiancé and our daughter Isabella. After her passing, we had to vacate Mom's apartment, and by divine graces a friend rented a lovely house to us, where we lived happily until 2022. Due to our then present landlord's changes in circumstances, the property had to be sold with almost no advance notice; it sold within 3 days, and new out-of-town landlords took ownership of the house. 

Unfortunately they did not intend to continue to lease the place to us, and we had to vacate with relative short notice. Throughout a series of arduous obstacles, we are still struggling to secure a place, and have been homeless since June of last year now; living mostly in our car, the occasional friend's couch, and during the most severe weather having to yield to a motel room to survive. All of our belongings were lost as well.

It's been extremely difficult to get into a new residence; almost all rental properties are now typically demanding 1st, last, and securiy, along with stringent stipulations for consideration. Raising that kind of capital while homeless, especially over the winter, even while working...when your pay has to go to motel rooms during sub zero temps, has proven to be extremely difficult...and there has been zero funding for housing available. There still is not a dime, I check the agencies weekly. I've applied for all the counties housing programs and the waiting list is unreasonable and daunting.

I presently have vetted several potential apartments, but still need help accruing the total capital needed to initially get into one.

Beyond that, we still will be gradually rebuilding a household-any furniture or incidentals come second of course, but any help at all, would get me closer to a roof over mine and my family's heads- to get off of rock bottom and start building a safe and happy home again.

I am so deeply grateful for all the help and support everyone has expressed thus far!

Part of the funding raised has actually been integral in surviving the previous few weeks, in helping to secure the occasional motel room; as living out of a car is not just unpleasant but dangerous during such blistering heat waves. I thank you all, endlessly!

I am actually more grateful than one could imagine for the onset of Autumn...

Autumn however, is segue to winter-and I'd love nothing more than to look forward to decorating the most meaningful Christmas tree of my life this year...safe, warm, and happily making beautiful new memories with my family in our own home. 

It feels like its been an eternity throughout this whole ordeal, but in reality time flies faster than one can concieve of while in the midst of a crisis. We're getting close to accruing whats needed to secure one of the prospective apartments, which is actually located within the town we used to live.

My everything right now is focused on rebuilding a safe, secure, happy home for my daughter and my family.
