Rebuilding from the Rubble

Hello everyone, I am reaching out to you today on behalf of my sister, Diana, who has recently suffered significant losses due to the devastating floods that occurred in Vermont this week. I am starting this GoFundMe campaign to help her recover and get back on her feet. Diana is a true Vermonter, born and raised in this beautiful state. After spending some time in California, she made the decision to return to her roots in 2020 and settled in the town of Jamaica. Before returning she experienced many hardships, including housing insecurity and the need to evacuate multiple times due to wildfires and flooding events in California. Diana's resilience is absolutely admirable, but these hardships are substantial for a single person to overcome on their own. Diana has always been an extremely hard worker. She recently lost her tech job in the spring due to layoffs, which was a significant blow. To make ends meet, she started bartending and serving at Rowell's Inn in Londonderry while pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a flower farmer. This year marked her first year as a flower farmer, and she poured her heart and soul into working the land. However, the recent floods have brought unimaginable devastation. The crops, bulbs, and supplies she meticulously cultivated were all destroyed by a landslide. Additionally, her vehicle, which she heavily relied upon to make deliveries to the market, was buried by gravel and completely flooded. The financial burden resulting from these losses is immense. We are hoping to raise funds to assist Diana in rebuilding her life and her farm. The funds will be used to replace the lost crops, bulbs, and supplies, as well as to help her with vehicle repairs so she can resume her deliveries to the market and sustain her business. She also needs funds to repair damage to her basement and garage which flooded and are used for her off-season grow operations. Your generosity and support would mean the world to Diana. This setback has been devastating for her, but she remains determined to overcome these challenges and continue pursuing her dream of being a successful flower farmer. Let's come together as a community and lend a helping hand to someone who has worked tirelessly to contribute positively to the world. Please consider making a donation to support Diana's Vermont Flood Recovery Fund. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. If you are unable to contribute financially, we kindly request that you share this campaign with your friends, family, and social networks to help us reach a wider audience. Thank you for taking the time to read Diana's story. Let's show her the strength of our community and offer her the support she needs during this difficult time. Together, we can help her rebuild and continue pursuing her passion.
