The Franco Family

If you’ve recently spent time with us - you might know that we’ve been facing a seemingly unending battle in family court over visitation with my stepdaughter, Emma. We’ve had a very difficult schedule her whole life, and if Emma’s felt comfortable enough to share her story with you, you know some of the tumultuous details of the battle. Over the summer, you might have gotten to spend extra time with her as we made the best of a traumatic season when she refused visitation with her mother. If you did, you were blessed by her humor, her desire to serve others, and her joy. She is a bright, witty, respectful young lady. 

In November, we were delivered a heart wrenching blow when the court suspended our visitation and custody and ordered Emma to return to her mother without any contact from us. Without saying anything negative about her mom, I will say that this has caused irreparable harm to our family. We are trying to restore custody and visitation with the court and now have a very pressing deadline to pay for Emma to have her own council represent her in court, in addition to paying for a special study to evaluate custody by a therapist. The court has ordered this all be paid by us, and to be done before the next hearing on January 11th. 

 We’re facing a huge financial need - but I know God will make a way through the impossible. If you are able to help support in any way, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
