Erica’s Road to Recovery

Hello! My name is Jordan and I am a friend of Erica’s. We have known each other a long while but we became much closer when she graciously offered to photograph my son when he was born free of charge. I say that because it shows the kind of beautiful soul she is. Erica is kind and caring and would be there for anyone. She is talented beyond measure and the most wonderful mother to her young son Grady.

Erica was the victim in an absolute atrocious accident on 6/11/22. Here is her story in her words:

”Around 9:30pm while I was driving home from a wedding a 26 year old man was drunk driving at about 120mph on highway 41 and slammed into me sending me into the concrete median and flipped over to the frontage road. He quickly got out of his car and disappeared, he was found later this morning still drunk and taken into custody for felony hit and run charges. My fibula and tibia shattered in multiple places causing the bones to come out of my skin. My surgeon said it will be 3-6 months until I can walk again, lots of physical therapy ahead of me. I have internal bleeding in my chest among other parts of the body. I have about 10 chipped teeth. I had surgery this morning to repair my leg/knee. It’s going to be a very long recovery but I’m thankful to be alive!“

I am starting this go fund me to help Erica with her medical bills and all other expenses in her near future. Erica is an extremely talented photographer who needs to replace all of her equipment in addition to her vehicle which was destroyed.
