Aiding Amy in Her Time of Need
Donación protegida
We are updating this GoFundMe due to new information learned in recent days. The amount is being increased to $40,000.00 so to cover all expenses, present and final.
Amy made a heartbreaking update on Twitter on February 4th. In part it reads:
"I finally have all my specialized test results & it's much worse than anyone hoped or predicted. My life is going to be cut rather short due to physical complications with cancer & political complications with #Covid19"
"In addition to the lung tumor, my left leg & hip are riddled with cancer. It began in my right leg too. All lymph nodes have cancer. Two spots in my spine have cancer (T5 & T12). Cancer in my left rib & right shoulder. 3 tumors in my liver as well."

This fund raiser is to assist Amy MacPherson, a woman who has always helped others; but who is now legally blind, in what is probably her most difficult fight in her 46 years of life.
On December 23, Amy is entering Hospital for single (so far as we know) lung cancer surgery. There is a tumour in the left lung which is forcing the lung to press against the heart causing the heart to race.
Amy is alone with her Son, Carey, 25, who should be in College studying music producing; but, has been staying with his Mum to care for her, running errands and to give her moral support.
They live in an isolated area with no transportation and/or safe drinking water. Yes, there is help available; but, we all know how slow the wheels of help work in Ontario.
Amazingly, Amy feels awkward about asking for any help herself; which is why others have stepped in to do this Go Fund Me. She feels that during a pandemic and during the Holiday Season, that she should not be asking for help. Let's show Amy how much people do care!
The funds from Go Fund Me will be used to help in transportation costs to and from Hospital and appointments as well to help to ease the burden while navigating the System that is presently in place in Ontario.
Any and all help will be gratefully appreciated and paid forward once she is well again.
