Get Zak his wings back!
Donation protected
Friends, Family, Acquaintances, Everyone,
My name is Marc Paradise and 3 weeks ago my cousin, Zak Tessier, was involved in a skydiving/base jumping accident in Southern France. Doing what he loves, Zak's schute did not deploy properly and upon landing on the side of a mountain road Zak was severely injured. He sustained a fractured vertebrae, injuries to a lung, and severe brain trauma from the impact. A mountaineering team saw the accident and rushed to his aid. With close friends by his side the last couple weeks, we have been blessed to learn that Zak came out of a coma and his condition is improving day to day. His speech, yet labored, is improving and he will begin rehabing motorskills and walking as soon as the doctors feel he is ready.
We have more recently learned that Zak's insurance will not cover the rehab for his injury. Though we are still working through the process, we know that the hospital wants 20,000 Euros in advance for his rehab bills (3 months). We are asking for any help that ANYONE can provide. No donation is too small. All of the money raised will be donated to his recovery and the costs associated with it. My Aunt, Zak's mother, has already dropped everything to be by his side in France for the next few weeks and I am exploring all options to aid in the financial burden that will ensue with her and Zak.
I have seen how powerful these gofundme's can be and I am hoping we can help my family in this time of need. With the holidays rapidly approaching we know times are tight with many, so again, no donation is too small, even if it is just a prayer. Zak has a passion for life that I have never seen before and he is loved by so many all over the world from his travels and experiences.
Please help us get Zak back up on his feet, and god willing, back in the air where he belongs.
From the bottom of my entire family's hearts, thank you!!!!
