38 year old expectant mother of twins needs your help

We're coming to you today to talk about one of our dear friends, Ashlee.

When Ashlee was a young woman, she was told she would likely never be a mother. At the age of 24, this devastating news left her feeling helpless, but not defeated. She kept moving forward and worked really hard to live a fulfilling life in love, relationships, and career.

Fast forward to now: an unexpected turn of events has rendered her a believer in miracles. By some miracle, she conceived not only one baby, but twins, at the age of 38.

Unfortunately, the father has chosen to not be an active participant in their lives, physically or financially.

We're coming here today because we need your help.

Deep down, Ashlee has always wanted to be a mom, and her instincts were telling her to keep the babies. Unfortunately, life nowadays is so expensive for a single person, let alone for a mother raising twins by herself. Ashlee did not make her decision to keep the babies lightly - she sought out professional counseling covered by her work and our healthcare system.

As thrilled as Ashlee is about bringing these two precious little girls into this world, the pregnancy has been difficult. She had to take a medical leave in her first trimester. Although she's back to work now, she's struggling to catch up. Not only does Ashlee have to provide two cribs, two high chairs, two of everything, she must do so having missed out on a large number of work hours during the first part of her pregnancy. Because she’s pregnant with twins, she has been advised by her doctor not to work past 24 weeks. However, out of financial necessity, Ashlee has continued working past that (now up to 29 weeks).

The reason we’re even talking about this is that we see our friend and the resilience that she has.

Ashlee is one of those people who will go out of their way for everyone, and we want to do the same for her in return. She would never ask us to do this, but we care so much about her and the babies that we just had to. Ashlee needs financial assistance to stop work and be able to rest and focus on getting ready for the arrival of her two baby girls.

Please help us raise funds to help Ashlee have a good, healthy start to raising these babies. The money you donate will be used to purchase necessities such as diapers, formula, cribs, a twin stroller, baby monitors, car seats, a breast pump, bottles, etc... and - of course - to help her stop working as soon as possible.

This woman, who thought she could never be a mom, can't fathom giving up this miraculous chance. She has so much love to give, and these babies deserve a good start in this world. If you have it in your heart to support this little family and help them start out strong, it would be forever appreciated. You will not only be investing in these children’s lives, but you will give Ashlee the start she needs to be the mom she was meant to be all along.

(Thank you to Ashlee’s friend for donating their talent for the maternity photo pictured in this post.)
