Zach the Brave needs our help

Hi, my name is Tabitha, I am Nicole’s sister and Zachs adoring aunty.
In September ‘23 Zach lost the ability to weight bare on his right leg, what started as knee pain then spread to his ankle. Nicole knew something was wrong as Zachy is normally so energetic and loved nothing more than running around with his friends at school. After weeks of blood tests, X-Rays, physio and an MRI, Zach was transported to Sydney’s Randwick children’s hospital, where on the 12/10/23 he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. As you can imagine Nicole and Zachs world was turned upside down in an instant.
Nicole and Zach have had to leave Canberra for the foreseeable future whilst Zach receives his lifesaving treatment.
They are very fortunate that they have been able to secure a room at Ronald McDonald house for as long as they need; but it’s not home.
Zach’s last bone marrow biopsy before Christmas showed that although he is responding to treatment, he still had cancer cells in his bone marrow. This means Zach will need to be in Sydney for at least 12 months. That’s a huge blow!
Nicole has only been able to work 2 days a fortnight since October and still doesn’t know when she will be able to return to her regular part-time job. Nicole has to leave Zach with his dad on Fridays, drive to Canberra, work the weekend and then drive back to Sydney Sunday, where she resumes full care of Zach.
Nicole won’t admit it, but this is taking a huge financial toll on her and that’s why I am asking on her behalf if you can spare a few dollars, to help ease the pressure, I know they would be so grateful.
Thank you so much in advance
