Zachery (Zach) Lara

My fellow brothers and sisters we all experienced a horrific loss on the morning of September 8. We lost two beautiful souls. Steve Brown was a man I had the pleasure of working with a handful of times. Was always a pleasure to have his uplifting personality in the crew room and in the cab. With the loss of Steve was my youngest brother Zachery. He was just a year into his career with us. My father Jeff and I hope everyone that had the pleasure to work with him enjoyed his outgoing personality and his eagerness to learn. Zach was a young man that had a drive like no other and lots of goals to achieve still. We always told him to look after his brothers and sisters at work because the littlest thing they would remember the next time they’d see you. I know one thing he would always talk about is our crew room talk and how entertaining our playful bickering was. It’s been very heartwarming to hear from everyone that has reached out from work sending their condolences to my family and I. I can’t put into words how much we appreciate everyone during these difficult times. The loss of two fellow brothers will forever leave a dent in our service unit.
