Zachary's Life Changing Procedure!

On behalf of Zachary and his incredible family, I am setting up a Go Fund Me page to help contribute to the expense of Zachary's life-changing procedure in America.

Zachary is a 3 year old boy with Cerebral Palsy. Shortly after his premature birth, Zachary had a stroke which resulted in a brain injury.

He is a smiley, happy little boy with an infectious giggle. He works tirelessly in all his therapies to give him the best chance at an independent life.

When his little sister, Grace was born, Cell Care Australia collected her umbilical cord blood. The stem cells from this cord blood are being shipped to Duke University in North Carolina, USA for a medical trial using sibling cord blood.

Fortunately, Zachary and Grace are a match which means Zachary can receive Grace's stem cells and hopefully regenerate some of his damaged brain tissue.

This treatment has the ability to improve this happy little boy's life and potentially change his future by giving him the opportunity to gain more control over his movements.

Unfortunately, access to this treatment, hospital visits/tests and the cost of travel to the US is very expensive. The treatment alone cost $22,000 AUD.

Zachary's Dad, Will has decided to run 100km around Lake Joondalup on the 29th of April 2023 to raise funds for this treatment.

The family will also be putting on an All Day Family Fun-Day Fundraiser Event at Neil Hawkins Park to support Will and cheer him on as he runs.

There will be Sunrise Yoga at 7am, Breakfast Burgers, Kids games and activities, Sausage Sizzle and many Prizes throughout the day.
