Zach Misleh Memorial Service Trip
Donation protected
Zach was a philanthropist. He was a giver. He was compassionate. He thrived on making a difference in the lives of others. He was selfless. Zach's family and friends cannot think of a better way to honor his memory than to go back to a place where his spirit is surely present: Tijuana, Mexico. Esperanza was a part of Zach's life before he took the journey himself. His sister, Anna, did service there before him, and he followed in her footsteps.
Esperanza International is a non-profit committed to building homes for extremely poor families in Tijuana through the generous help (money and labor) of people from the U.S. and the sweat equity of families who benefit.
The first week of July, Zach's old group who accompanied him on these trips with are going once again. We hope to keep Zach's spirit and memory alive in a place that meant so much to him--and still means so much to those who love and miss him.
The group, now numbering nearly 25 friends and family, have an ambitious goal of $50,000! Your tax-deductible donation will go towards a memorial gift to Esperanza International. The remainder will be to help offset the travel costs of the group. Esperanza has an extensive wish-list: from simple tools to upgraded vehicles. We're aiming high because we believe so many will want to contribute.
As you give, BE SURE TO SELECT THE FACEBOOK OPTION so your gift will register on your Facebook page and inspire others to give. or Emma Chabolla ([email redacted]) and we'll get some language to you to send to your family and friends. If you have any financial questions or questions about donating, please contact Martin Mellet ([email redacted]), who is in charge of our deposits.
Thank you so much for your generosity!
