Zach Lightner’s TBI Recovery
Donation protected
On Sunday, June 26, Zach Lightner was involved in a car accident resulting in a traumatic brain injury (TBI).
The neurosurgeon and trauma doctors have informed the family that Zach may make a recovery with deficits or he may not recover at all. It’s truly a waiting game and due to the injury, could take days, weeks, or - more likely - months to know what condition he will be in.
The family is hoping for a prognosis that will allow Zach to be transferred to a rehabilitation center that specializes in TBI. The closest, preferred facilities are in Atlanta and Jacksonville - both 5-6 hours away from the family.
These funds will go directly towards medical and, if needed, travel expenses.
About Zach:
Zach is 18-years-old with a full-time job in his chosen career field. He aspires to be a mechanic and own his own shop one day.
Zach enjoys spending time with his family, often crashing his sisters’ couches or piling up in his own designated room at his brothers home.
Zach has a tough exterior, but when you see him with a child, you see that exterior melt away. He has a slew of nieces and nephews and a baby sister that adore spending time with him.
If he’s not on a four wheeler or side-by-side, you can often find him tinkering around with his most recent project. Zach has a natural knack for mechanics and has put those skills to the test with his much-adored Bronco and Mustang.
Zach is loyal to those he loves, truly a hard worker, and is sure to bring a smile to your face once you get him talking.
The family asks for continued prayers throughout this journey.
