Zack’s fight against Cancer

Donation protected
Zachary is a 24 year old man diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic testicular cancer. The type of cancer he has is rare. Less than 1% of metastatic testicular cancer goes to the brain. He has both types of testicular cancer. Seminoma and non seminoma. He has as of his last pet scan, a tumor in his lung, lymph node, IVC and recently had his second tumor removed from his brain. He’s had one round of chemotherapy designed by IU doctors in Indianapolis. He cannot work because of his severe condition. Disability doctors seem to think that his condition is improving even though he’s had a recurrence within six months of finishing chemotherapy and he will not get a court date until December or later. I’ve become his caregiver (he needs 24 hour observation and care), passing my certification to get to be his paid caregiver. However, the Medicaid system has the waiver services is locked down until they can structure the family caregiver program. We are doing our absolute best in making sure he has the right services and best treatment available. Again, this means he needs to travel to Indianapolis which is 3.5 hours from our house. He’ll be starting his next round of chemo 9/9. At our cancer center here in Jasper and get stem cells in IU. Please consider donating to this special cause. Zachary is a special person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He loves video games, driving his car, working fast food and animals. After cancer he hopes to go back to work and maybe enroll in college. Thank you. If you cannot donate at least share. -Jen

Hello, my name is Virginia. My son Zachary has been diagnosed with systemic metastatic testicular cancer. He recently had a tumor removed from his brain 2.5 weeks after having surgery for his testicular tumor. To say we were blindsided by the severity of this cancer was an understatement. He is a FIGHTER! And has been fighting since he was born. He was a preemie born at 3lbs 12 ounces due to growth restriction. But he never stopped growing and overcame all odds. A year ago he was an overall healthy, social and well rounded man who was working to make ends meet. Our family asks for your prayers and support. The hospital he’s with is amazing but we need funds to make it and cover his doctor bills until SSDI kicks in. Whatever you can do is appreciated but if you can’t do-just share. Thank you to all our angels.
