Zack's our Civilian Hero
Donation protected
Shine a well-deserved spotlight on Zack Tahhan, the civilian hero who helped catch the Brooklyn shooter. Zack was at his job, doing security cameras. He saw the shooter on his camera screen.
Miraculously, Zack had set his intention earlier that morning while traveling to work: "When I come from Jersey in the morning, I want to see this guy. I want to try to catch him. Because if I don't catch him, he's going to kill the people and we love the people."
Zack's inherent awareness and care for others was apparent to me as I filmed. Zack shared: "...life is nice. We have to always, we have to keep the life safe."
Zack spoke of the killer: "This guy. He killed the people. We need to call the police. We need to do something because this guy is going to kill more people." Zack recalled how the killer walked brazenly on 1st Avenue and St Mark's in the East Village of Manhattan. Zack followed and watched the killer, noting that the killer carried multiple bags.
As the killer placed a bag down upon the street, Zack used his own body and voice to save our community members from potential tragedy.
'"I see people from here walking to him and I say, "Guys, wait, wait! This guy maybe have something," because I don't want something to happen to these people."'
Zack saw police in a car nearby and ushered them over, sharing what he'd seen on the security cameras.
He was shocked to have been the person to see the shooter when others had not yesterday: "Look how many people. Nobody see this guy....only I..."
A bit about Zack: he speaks 5 languages, has a long work commute everyday and long hours. He's the only one of his immediate family in America, and yet he feels a deep responsibility and love for his fellow Americans and for the greater world.
100% of these funds will be given to Zack Tahhan.
