LIFE UPDATE/HAWAII?!

About a month ago, I was sitting on my front porch reading a book when the Lord gave me a vision. The book I was reading was filled with testimonies of children hearing from God and miracles breaking out everywhere they went because of their obedience to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. My vision was being there in person, teaching children about Jesus and then seeing with my own eyes revival breaking out from children!

I’ve been praying and asking God about what this next season of my life was going to look like. While I love my job, I thought I would have something else by this point in my life.

I’ve had tons of friends get me interviews and for some reason nothing felt right. I also wasn’t getting these jobs and honestly was ok with every rejection because they didn’t feel like they were where I was supposed to be anyway.

But where am I supposed to be?

What am I supposed to be doing?

Are you just wanting me to make a choice and take a leap of faith?

These have been my constant questions.

While reading this book, I felt like the Lord answered.

I believe I hadn’t been excited about jobs and doors were closing left and right to lead to this.

I remembered while still sitting on my porch that I had a friend who had been doing missions for the past few years through YWAM. I reached out to her and while waiting for a response from her, I googled YWAM and the first one that popped up was the one in Kona, Hawaii. She later responded and said that she was currently based at this same base.

I then texted my dad just “YWAM Hawaii” to which he responded, “wait, I was supposed to tell you yesterday and that we felt the Lord was speaking to us about you going to YWAM, specifically the one in Hawaii.” So I’m obviously like ummmm what?!

Then I went to church and had a friend who had just came back from Hawaii visiting family and then someone from kid’s team was wearing a Hawaiian shirt because it was Luau night for kid’s conference. I was singing in choir for this service at church and we sang “How Great Thou Art.” It was great! The Spirit was moving and people were wrecked and I was giggling. On stage, cracking up. Every year my family goes to the beach and we play mini golf at this Hawaiian themed course. They play an instrumental Hawaiian version of “How Great Thou Art” …so I’m on stage thinking: Ok God, I get it!

The next week I went to a baseball game with a friend who I hadn’t seen in a while and she had just got back that morning from being in Hawaii for the past month helping to start a CFA. My old boss from there reached out and we had breakfast in the lobby and I couldn’t stop talking about kids and kid’s church and this book and Hawaii and the vision. We were both giddy at the end of our longgg conversation He said that they didn’t have anyone down for the next 3 months for fundraisers. I’ll go ahead and put your name down as our fundraiser person for the next 3 months.

At this point I’m like uh, the funds are already coming in without me even having to ask…this MUST be God

I applied that week with YWAM Kona and then had an interview. The next week I received an acceptance email!

Sooooooooo, GUYS! I’m going to Hawaii!

I’ll be with YWAM which is a missions focused ministry. Their purpose is “to know God and make God known.” The first 3 months will be a discipleship program in Kona and the the next 2 months will be missions outreach in another country! I won’t know what country I’ll be going to until closer time to head to the country but I am fully believing it’ll be one with a whole bunch of kids

I’m so excited to get to share this with everyone and for the Lord to use me!!

I’m asking for all the prayers for continual guidance from the Lord and asking that the Lord will move in mighty ways! Y’all I can’t even wait.
