Zain Khan’s 2023 Crossmen Fundraiser

Hey everyone!

My name is Zain Khan and I am a full-time student studying biochemistry at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Recently, I received an opportunity from the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps to perform with them in their front ensemble for the 2023 season! Ever since I began my career as a musician at a young age, it has been one of my greatest dreams to be able to go on tour in order to travel and perform for audiences with the purpose of sharing my great passion that I have for the art.

Starting in high school, I began to fall in love with the marching arts, more specifically, getting to play the marimba. After finding this passion I had, before I knew it, I finally found the courage to go out and audition for a world class drum corps. Traveling from Nebraska all the way to Texas in order to audition for the Crossmen, I had the great pleasure of receiving the good news that I was being offered a contract! With this being said, I knew that this was an opportunity that I simply had to take.

With such in mind, I was then introduced to the costs of the corps dues which is the fee that members have to pay in order to be able to perform with the group over the summer. Coming to $5,200 in tuitions, I am faced with the great task of having to pay for these fees as I am also a full-time student and part-time worker. The costs for this summer are to include all the meals that I will be receiving along with traveling and housing expenses. To be able to achieve this goal would mean that I would finally be able to perform at a world class level and receive education that would immensely add to my skillset as a musician. Anything and everything is more than greatly appreciated.
