Help get back on my feet after Eaton Fire
Donation protected
My name is Marian Coleman and I’ve lived in Altadena for 35 years. I’m heartbroken to share that I’ve lost my home in the Eaton Fire in Altadena. The flames moved so quickly, and despite the heroic efforts of first responders, my home and everything I’ve built there is now gone. It’s hard to put into words how it feels to see years of memories, hard work, and love reduced to ash.
My world has been completely turned upside down in the past few weeks. On December 30, 2024, I lost my beloved mother, and shortly after, the Eaton Fire destroyed my home. It’s hard to put into words the pain of losing both my family and the place I called home in such a short time.
I’m raising funds to help rebuild my life, and every donation will go directly toward:
• Temporary housing: Securing a safe and stable place to stay while I plan my next steps.
• Replacing essentials: Clothing, shoes, personal items, and everyday necessities that were lost in the fire.
• Furniture and household necessities: Beds, kitchenware, and other basics needed to start over.
• Permanent housing: Saving for deposits and initial rent on a new home or covering repair costs if I can return to my property.
• Emotional support: Grieving the loss of my mother and coping with the trauma of losing my home.
This is about more than replacing what was lost—it’s about rebuilding a sense of stability and hope after so much devastation.
I know times are tough for many, and I deeply appreciate any help you can provide. Whether through a donation, sharing my story, or keeping me in your prayers, your support means the world to me. Thank you for helping me take the first steps toward rebuilding my life.
To everyone who has reached out or offered support, thank you. Your kindness is a reminder that even in the darkest moments, there’s still light. I’m trying to focus on rebuilding, on staying hopeful, and on the fact that I’m not alone in this.
Please hug your loved ones a little tighter today. It’s a reminder of how fragile everything truly is. If you’re able to support fire relief efforts, please consider doing so. Every bit of help matters. Thank you again for your love and prayers. I will get through this, one day at a time.
