My name is Kintu (Martin) Cowart, and I am dedicated to making a substantial difference in the lives of marginalized and vulnerable East African refugees. With your help, we can offer them a chance at a safer, more dignified life through the Zambia Refugee Victory Fund.

The Focus of Our Fund

This campaign is specifically designed to support the members of our community who are currently residing in a refugee camp in Zambia. These people have faced unimaginable challenges, including fleeing from the harsh implications of the anti-homosexuality act of 2023 passed by the Ugandan Parliament. They have sought refuge far from home, but their journey is far from over.

Why Zambia? Why Now?

In 2021, my journey took a fateful turn when I traveled to Nairobi, Kenya. My purpose was simple: to deliver a cell phone and a laptop to Abba Henry, an East African refugee who had earned a scholarship to my 12-month leadership coaching program. Meeting Abba was nothing short of divine intervention; it became crystal clear that my role was not just to educate, but to actively participate in safeguarding the future of Abba and many others like him.

Our meeting was a turning point, leading me to deepen my involvement with those seeking refuge in camps not just in Kenya, but across East Africa, where refugees continue to face significant hurdles in meeting their basic needs while they await processing their resettlement.

What We Need
