Zanisha's road to recovery

Friends and Family members!

As most of you are aware, Zanisha fell ill a few weeks ago and was admitted to the ICU at Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital. She suffered from a severe case of pneumonia in both of her lungs and is currently on a life support system called ECMO. This machine is in place so that her lungs can heal and recover. Though she's made some small improvements, the doctors feel it's necessary to transfer her to Shands in Gainesville, Florida. The transfer is in the process, and soon she'll be traveling to Shands via a medical air ambulance. As parents, this has taken us by surprise, but we will do what's necessary to make sure she gets the treatment she needs in order to heal. Of course, we will make arrangements to travel back and forth to be with our daughter, and it's likely that one of us will have to stay in Gainesville with Zanisha. This unplanned but necessary event will put a financial burden on our family. For those who feel led to support us while we take this journey, we would appreciate anything you're able to contribute.
