Help Zanna & Michael’s family with medical costs

Hi my name is Carly one of Zanna’s dearest friends and I’ve chosen to set up the “go fund me” to help Zanna and her family with this crisis that has been thrown at them.

Myself being in a different state to Zanna and her family I want to be able to have the local community of her home town and friends all around she knows to have a way to help.

Zanna and her husband Michael (37yrs old) with their 3 young children, 8yr old daughter and 2 sons, 6 & 2 have had their world completely rocked.

Michael ended up in Coffs Harbour hospital with what seemed to be with flu like symptoms however it has turned into a rare bug known as flesh eating bacteria through his body. He spent the first 2 days in ICU intubated post surgery on his body to help him fight for his life after battling sepsis (infection) through his body as well has the surgery to remove the bacteria . The first 48hrs were crucial to the point where doctors were unsure he would even wake up. He finally woke up on the 3rd day and was able to be visited by his beautiful family.

Michael has now been flown to a major hospital in Sydney where he will undergo further intensive care, surgery, skin grafts and plastic surgery.

This is going to be a long intense process and long journey ahead of them all. There will be medical costs, post recovery costs when he eventually gets out of hospital (OT, physiotherapy, mental health care etc. Not to mention general expenses of raising a family and living and surviving each day.

Michael, Zanna and their 3 young children need our ongoing love and support as this road to recovery is a long one.
