Half Marathon for Zante Strays Rescue

I am doing a fairly intense 14-week training programme for a half marathon in October to raise money for Zante strays rescue in Zante. My amazing but nervous little rescue Scrumpy was adopted through Zante strays before she came to the UK and ive always wanted to do more to help them for the love and care they give to the abandoned dogs in Greece. I am visiting Zante in September and would love to take with me some money to help them keep doing an amazing job for the dogs out there.

Anyone who knows me well will know that Scrumpy was the love of my life. She needed a lot of love, kindness and patience, and I would like to help other Zante dogs find their home too.  

Many of the stray dogs in Zante were family pets or working dogs that were thrown on the street when they were no longer wanted or got pregnant. They don't believe in neutering dogs in Zante which results in many abandoned pets and unwanted puppies. Zante strays is volunteer-run and they do their best to re-home the dogs all over Europe, without any proper funding. Many of the dogs they find need medical care and they don't have the funds to do it, often needing to crowdfund for big ops. Any money we can raise for them will help them to improve the lives of these poor unwanted pups.
