Zappone Family House Fire

On Friday August 18th my dad Mike and step mom Stephanie lost their entire home due to the Medical Lake wildfire. They were in Spokane when they received the level 3 evacuation “get out now” alert. They rushed home as quickly as possibly and with seconds to spare they were able to save their two dogs. However, that is all they were able to grab. My dad also lost his car in the fire. They truly lost everything but the clothes on their backs and their two dogs.

Those of us who are lucky enough to have Mike and Stephanie in our lives are left wondering how we can help. The reality is that you can’t offer freezer meals and furniture to someone who doesn’t really have a place to store them. So many wonderful people have reached out to them asking what can be done in the meantime. I’d like to offer an outlet for your concern: a fundraiser to provide financial support however they may need it.
