We Made it to Boston! Time to start a new!

This family of five have been through so much since the fall of Afghanistan. They have endured hardships we only read about in books. They have had many promises broken and dreams shattered overnight. I am proud of all of our donors who have generously helped relocate this family over the 3 plus year long journey to safety and asylum.

We made it to Boston! Now it's time to rebuild the lives of this family of five. Both parents are college educated and are in search of job opportunities while their children are enrolled in the local school. We still need funds to keep a roof over their heads and utilities on while they gain momentum.

Please help us keep the lights on, pantries full, gas in the car and a roof over their heads while they transition into their home. We have found a generous host who has put them up in a one bedroom apartment. Please help us help him keep the bills paid. No one here is rich and we are all working hard to give what we can.

There are many changes in this administration and while money does not buy happiness, it can buy time and security. This family is very motivated and get things done! They have obtained workers permits, drivers licenses and have even survived their first Nor'easter. They are our brothers and sisters who served veterans like John and myself during our combat tours overseas. This family painted a target on their backs when they dared to dream and challenge the extremist. The mother educated women and advocated for equal rights at the local University and her photo was taken, hence the secrecy. We are trying to keep the promise of our nation to protect them from the Taliban even from across the ocean.
