Zara’s Eye Surgery
Donation protected
This is Zara Rahimi. I adopted her as a very tiny kitten from a not so great environment in June last year and now she is my entire world. A few weeks ago she somehow scratched her eye and upon some vet visits we found out she has a corneal ulcer. After already spending all my savings for multiple vet appointments, trying all kinds of ointments and drops, I ended up having to take her to an ophthalmologist and was told that she has something called a “corneal sequestrum” and if she doesn’t get surgery for it soon it will spread deeper into her eye and eventually she will lose her eye. The surgery costs about $3,450 and unfortunately there is no insurance that covers it. Due to COVID, I have been in between jobs and my financial situation won’t allow me to get her surgery done soon enough for it to not cause further damage which, according to the specialist, should be within the next 3 weeks. This is my last resort and I would greatly appreciate any help possible for my baby girl to not lose her eye. Every little bit helps. If you have a pet I’m sure you understand the unconditional love for them and you would also do anything possible for their well-being.
