Zariah Donovan Continued Medical Fund and Support
Donation protected
After spending the first 1,237 Days of her life in the NICU, Zariah was able to finally come Home at the beginning of this year. Living solely within NICU walls for an extended time has caused many complications, such as physical/developmental delays, oral aversion, and sensory input disorder. Since being home, Zariah has met major developmental milestones at an accelerated pace! She has taken her first unassisted steps and independently brought a spoon of food to her mouth. Her severe case of BPD required abnormally high home vent pressures. Zariah has been able to successfully wean on her Vent continually and has had "0 ICU Inpatient Stays" since transitioning to the home setting!
As a Family in order to get Zariah home, and keep her home, we have had to transform our House into an ICU to keep Zariah Safe and Healthy. Dad has continued to stay out of work to be a full time caregiver, and Mom had to take 6 months off of work in order to help with the transition home. Mom has recently returned to work to maintain our Primary Insurance.
We continue to have many Unexpected Expenses. Who would have thought we would need something as simple as a Generator if the power goes out for an expended period of time? We appreciate all of the support from those who have already helped our family, and we would appreciate donations in any form to help cover Zariah's ongoing medical costs. This road has been difficult on our family, but seeing Zariah's beautiful smile and joy for life has kept us motivated to keep fighting!
