Zayden’s Heart Journey

As many of you know Zayden is our 5 year old born with half a heart. He’s had 2 open heart surgeries and was admitted on July 6th for heart failure and was listed for transplant on July 25th. His health quickly declined and on August 26th he had to have another open heart surgery and they also had to place a Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) to help do the work for his heart. He’s had a rough recovery. He lost a lot of blood he’s had 3 strokes infections he’s had a bad inflammatory response to the VAD. We are finally in a better place but still have a long road ahead and he still has to wait for a new heart. We knew we would be in the hospital for a while but now it will be an even longer stay. I’m asking for help for hospital stay expenses anything is appreciated. We have such an amazing support system which we are so grateful for.
