Emely Carpio's Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Please help support my family. My sister Emely Elizabeth Carpio (May 6, 2003 - October 4, 2015) passed away yesterday. Emily was a beautiful 12 year old from Anaheim, California that had her life cut short in a tragic accident. She brought joy to all that knew her.
Emely, my parents and a friend from school were in car accident on Sunday, September 27th while driving in the Angeles National Forest. They were cut-off by an impatient driver causing their car to go over the cliff on Angeles Crest Highway. Fortunately, a tree stopped the truck from free falling all the way down the mountain. Reserve volunteers with the Montrose Search and Rescue Team were conducting training exercises in the Angeles National Forest when they were flagged down by citizens, who informed them that the truck had gone over a cliff.
All passengers were injured but Emely was critically injured. After a week of fighting, she passed away.
She is survived by our parents, myself and my brother, as well as many other extended family members and friends that love her deeply.
Thank you for supporting our family with your prayers and donations for Emely’s service.
UPDATE: 10/7/15 My family is overwhelmed by your love and support. We have began to make arrangements for Emely's service and learned that it is very expensive to put together. We are having a few car washes to raise the more funds.
Please come out on Friday 10/9 between 1:30 to 6pm, all day Saturday 10/10 and all day 10/11 Sunday at 403 W. Hampshire in Anaheim.
In some bittersweet news, we welcomed Emely's nephew to the world on Tuesday, 10/6 at 3:41am his name is Eliy Carpio. He and my wife are doing well.
Sincerely,
Juan Carpio (Emely's oldest brother)
