2023 Road World Championships - Alexandra Volstad

Hi, my name is Alexandra Volstad and I am a 17-year-old cyclist based in Calgary. I have been racing competitively for 7 years and this year I have been selected for the 2023 Road World Championships in Glasgow, UK.

This year I have been fortunate to be able to be selected to race for Team Canada at the Apeldoorn Next Generation Race in January as well as racing on the road at the EPZ Omloop van Borsele Nations Cup in April, and the Tour de Gévaudan Occitanie Nations Cup in May.

With these opportunities, I have been able to accumulate a lot of European racing experience. In June, I won the Canadian Road Race National Championship, which allows me to compete at the 2023 Road World Championships!

As a first-year Junior, I am looking forward to this amazing opportunity! The support from my team, coach, and sponsor has helped me so much already!

Contributing to my GoFundMe will help me attend the 2023 Road World Championships as well as Nations Cups and other international road racing leading into my second year Junior.
