Medical and dental procedures for jaw.

My name is Lori Conklin. I'm 62 years old, divorce, single, mother and grandmother.

I have a full-time job working at a Child Development Center that I love.

I love spending my free time with my grandchildren, being outdoors, and doing photography. I enjoy the simple things in life.

I recently had my annual check up with my dentist. I got referred to a oral surgeon. I found out I will need a bone graft on my right side of my jaw. About 15 years ago I had a small bridge put in for a missing tooth in the back. I had lost volume and density to my jawbone since then.

If I don't get this bone graft done it will cause many life altering issues such,collapsed facial profile,difficulty speaking, eating and constant pain and discomfort and more. My jawbone is slowly deteriorating. I will need two implants on that side along with a new bridge to support my jaw. I will need one implant on the opposite side with a crown on the very back tooth.

I'm thankful it's just 3 back teeth but unfortunately it's in a crucial area. I'm already feeling discomfort in my jaw. I was quoted out of pocket cost is around 17,000.00 dollars minus the 2 thousand they took out of my dental insurance that is now maxed out. I recently took out a loan to pay off my debts in 2 years by the time I retire. That takes out a big chunk of money out of my paycheck each month. I cannot take out another loan or open another credit card because I probably couldn't afford another payment with how the economy is now. Any donation s will go strictly to dental care and used for a better dental insurance.

So I'm asking family and friends if you would like to contribute,even a small

donation to help with this expensive procedure. Even if I don't reach my goal something is better than nothing. The bone graft procedure will take 4 to 6 months to heal before they can put in the implants. I will still look for other ways to raise money. I will not stop trying until I get there. I didn't even qualify for grants.

This is not cosmetic surgery. It's a life changing procedure. I would greatly appreciate any help I can get. If you cannot donate please share this.
