Danielle’s Stroke Recovery

Donation protected
Danielle is 23 years old, she graduated from the law enforcement academy in April 2022 and started her dream job as a Sheriffs Deputy for Dupage County. On August 30, Danielle suffered a stroke.
Danielle woke up that day, her speech was slurred and some of her motor function was off. Brandon (Danielle’s fiancé / my brother) recognized these signs and rushed Danielle to Silver Cross Hospital where they immediately placed her on their stroke protocol. Numerous tests were completed, but within minutes of an MRI of the brain being completed they called a code BAT (brain attack team) to Danielle’s room. A blood clot was found on the MRI, Danielle was taken to surgery immediately where the clot was successfully removed.
While we are thankful Danielle’s motor function is intact, she will require extensive speech therapy and numerous follow up appointments with specialists. Unfortunately, Danielle is unable to return to work at this time and it is uncertain when she will be medically cleared to do so.
Many people have reached out asking what they can do to help, so we started this GoFundMe to assist Danielle with her loss of income, medical bills from the hospital stay and future appointments/therapy visits.
