Aundrea needs our help in her battle to fight a very rare form of cancer that strikes only 1 woman in 1,100 and affects only a little over 4,000 women yearly in the United States.  Aundrea is fighting for her life against Vaginal Cancer.

Her battle began more than 2 years ago when she was initially diagnosed, and underwent the recommended treatment protocol at that time. Seemed she was successful at first only to discover shortly thereafter it had reoccurred. Again, Aundrea bravely & with humor and a positive spirit underwent her chemotherapy and radiation regime; again, thinking positive thoughts with a prayerful approach that all was well. To everyone’s dismay… it again reoccurred, now multiple times. Aundrea now faces a “last resort attempt of radiation” which will be her last possibility of having this treatment, as she will have reached her limit of being a candidate for any further radiation in her case. Aundrea shared with us what one of her oncologists explained to her, and in part, she shared with many of us; “…it’s incredibly complicated. It turns out not only is my cancer rare, but it's really rare. And current conditions are even more rare, so he’s having to figure it out and try a treatment that hasn't been tried before, Le Sigh…” . Alternatives are difficult, challenging, and life changing, and doctors have reached the unknown as to how to treat her. Research and alternative treatments may be out there, and some “feelers” are being put forth on her behalf by caring friends. To make matters tougher for Aundrea, she also suffers from an autoimmune disease diagnosed 5 years ago in which her autoimmune disease is attacking her liver making many of the typical treatments unavailable to her. So you see, it’s a daunting place to be in for Aundrea.

Despite all of this, Aundrea’s positive attitude and her unending faith keep her going, along with a supporting and loving family. Aundrea is a daughter, sister, wife, and mother. She is a loving, cheerful, vivacious, spirited, creative, caring, and simply lovely lady who is supportive to all of those around her. She has selflessly given of her time, energy and love to not only her family and friends, but to many that she hasn’t even known well through reaching out to them whenever possible. I personally met Aundrea through a group of learning jewelers who come together to share, teach and learn together. Aundrea is always at the ready to be helpful and encouraging, and with a fervor and passion unmatched by many with a level of true integrity for the craft; she herself being a very talented jewelry artist. One of the complications this terrible disease has imposed upon her is the inability to now sit at her bench to do what she so loves to do - create beauty for others. As a result, this has obviously stopped the flow of any income she could also produce for herself and her family.

Please consider giving back to Aundrea in the same spirit she has given to others when they needed her in life. By supporting CancerCare4 Aundrea, you will bring some much needed relief - lifting some of the financial burden that is so cumbersome to anyone in this race for a cancer cure. Eliminating at least one of the burdens can help Aundrea focus on what is most important… Healing. While health insurance is helpful, we are all aware of rising premiums, higher deductibles, co-pays, and in many instances non-covered medical procedures and medications. These deductibles, co-pays & uncovered expenses can throw most families into negative cash flows quite quickly; heavy concerns when you have lost one of two incomes in a household, and something no one fighting cancer should have to be concerned with.

Your thoughtful donation to Aundrea is so appreciated. Give as you can. One time or as a monthly donation. $1.00, $5.00, $50, more; whatever your heart leads you to give - will all help & is so graciously and humbly appreciated. If you cannot give monetarily, please remember her in your daily prayers and positive thoughts, and possibly posting this campaign on your Facebook page to get the word out in support. Aundrea is like most of us… we don’t like asking for help in the area of finance recognizing everyone has their own needs and burdens in life. Know that she is appreciative beyond words, and very humbled by people’s generosity.

Aundrea wishes to share her appreciation for your donation with a token of her love & thankfulness by sending you a personal gift for your support and for helping her "Kick Cancer's Ass"!

*Please send an email with your mailing address to the organizer of this campaign so we can get your gift mailed out to you.  You will see an interactive mail envelope to click on next to the "created by" name on the main donor page.
