I'm so happy to be given the opportunity to serve others and promote Jesus in the beautiful country of Australia through Youth With A Mission!
While I'm there I will be receiving training in assisting teenagers struggling with depression and suicide, and giving them hope by telling them about the hope that is guaranteed through Jesus.
It is a six month volunteering program, beginning on January 29th, 2018. This is the most excited I've been for anything in the longest time. My only obstacle that's keeping me from helping these teenagers, and bringing my new found knowledge back with me is funds.Since I was little, I dreamed about going out and helping those less fortunate. I have been blessed beyond belief in my life to have been given resources to deal with my own personal difficulties, and I'm thrilled to be able to impart what I have learned. We will be also handing out much needed medication to those who cannot afford it themselves.
I wish I could more eloquently express what this means to me. This is the beginning of the rest of my life. A jumping off point into the future and hope that God has for my life. Serving and speaking life and love into those who haven't yet heard what God has for them.
