Sean Mullin -Medical
Donation protected
As you may or may not know, Sean Mullin, son of Janice Mullin and Patrick Mullin (Dee-Ann Williamson), has been dealing with two congenital chronic illnesses called Caroli Liver Disease and ARPKD – Autosomal Recessive Polysystic Kidney Disease and other associated medical conditions since birth.
Fortunately, he has been receiving fantastic care and taking medications all of his life that has kept him in good, stable condition. Sean is 21 years old and now feeling the impacts from his diseases and is currently in the Toronto General Hospital with his family awaiting a kidney and liver transplant.
Patrick and Janice are currently going through testing to see if they are good matches for Sean. Many others have also stepped up to see if they are eligible to donate their partial liver and kidney which the family is incredibly humbled and overwhelmed by. For those who know Sean, you would never know what he’s been battling as he is the most positive, happy, fun-loving guy you could ever meet and has so much more life to live! He can’t wait to get back to finish the last level of his Plumbing Apprenticeship, his many outdoor activities and working on his cars. That being said, he has a long road ahead and his recovery will take months.
This will entail significant medical costs, accommodation and travel expenses given that him and his family live in rural Manitoba, many hours from his care in Toronto. Our extended family is starting a GoFundMe to help alleviate the financial stresses and ensure that he gets the best care possible. They are such a giving family themselves and deeply appreciate the incredible love and support they are receiving.
As Sean moves through his care in Toronto, we will be providing further updates. May we ask that you pray for Sean and keep him in your thoughts during this tremendously difficult time. We would appreciate any and all donations and support. Thank you!
