Hello my name is Paulette Shettlewood
I have been a CNA for 18 years. I choose this field because of my love for people ,and l love take care of others. I am a mother of a 6 years -old named Liam.
- In August of 2020 i had a stroke. in Marchof 2021 i contracted covid -19 . During my recovery I was unable to work due to several medical issues. I applied for disability and was denied in April of 2022. Two weeks before I was denied disability I was admitted to the hospital. After several medical tests , I learned from the doctor I have stage 3 lymphoma Cancer. I was devastated, scared,and shock. My first thought was how do I explain to a 6-year old that his mother has cancer while still processing my diagnosis. I only had one week to prepare myself for chemo.
During my treatment , I plan to take six chemo treatments , have a bone marrow transplant and have surgey. My first treatment was on May 7, 2022, just before Mother's day. I was admitted to the hospital that Friday and received Chemo from Friday to Tuesday May 12, 2022. I will be admitted to the hospital to the hospital every 3 weeks for Chemo . During two weeks of rest. I will have to have blood test done three time a week . I have to take several medications dailey . I feel week tired, and worried because the medical bills are starting to roll in from the CT scan an other test.
At this time , I an unable to work, and I cannot afford medical insurance. I am seeking prayers for healing and any monetary donation you may wish give to help during this difficult time. All funds will go directly to medical cost and further need for my family. I have been a giver for many years by helping others, and now I'm asking for support for Liam and myself.
