Zea Fire Relief

Hi my name is Kristine Johnson and I’m reaching out in support of the Zea family (my sister’s family) after the devastating loss of their home from a house fire on the night of July 22.

We are forever grateful that they were able to safely exit the home. (Their cat Mittens’ meows notified them that something was wrong). However, they were unable to save any of their personal belongings. Their house is a total loss along with everything in it. They lost all personal property, sentimental items, vehicles, April’s wedding ring and are still assessing their needs.

April, Dilque and kids are currently in temporary housing while they begin to come to understand what happened. The kids left the house in only their underwear. Mariana was most concerned about her bible, cheer gear (a new activity she’s very excited about) and the fact that she doesn’t have paper for art activities. Mateo was most worried about the collar of his dog that recently passed away and his special blanket. Four year old Henry understands that his house is “wreaked” and that he doesn’t feel quite right.

To know April and Dilque is fortunate as they are always putting the needs of others first. At this time we are praying that their needs be met and that they feel the love and support of our community.
